The Opportunity  As the Land Use Administration and Subdivision Officer, you'll provide a high level of administrative and technical support for the Planning Unit ensuring administration is conducted in an efficient manner to a consistent standard.
You will monitor, support and facilitate subdivision permit applications and facilitate the creation of new proposed parcel lots on release of new titles.
You'll be responsible for:  Providing technical support to all staff in the administration of the Planning and Building functions, including for the preparation of correspondence and notices.
Ensuring registration of all subdivision planning, Section 173 Agreements and related documents is in accordance with the relevant legislation and in accordance with agreed timelines.
Maintaining and updating computer registers utilised by the Planning and Building Unit.
Processing and maintaining planning permit subdivision applications and associated referrals within SPEAR including liaison with internal staff and external agencies.
Administration of subdivision certification process, requests for Valuation Reports and issuance of Statement of Compliance documentation.
Processing Section 173 Agreements and liaising with Council and customer legal advisors.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Bairnsdale.
Things You're Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria)  Relevant qualifications and/or experience.
Good understanding of planning permit and subdivision applications and related processes.
Excellent keyboarding skills and knowledge of or ability to adapt to Council's computer software applications.
Demonstrated focus on attention to detail, and an ability to provide consistently high quality of work outputs.
Willingness to work with and assist others in a multi-disciplinary team.
Ability to adapt to and manage change, including process improvement.
Ability to be self-directed and clear about setting priorities in the context of a team workload.
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check.
You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
