Programmed Skilled Workforce - Central West is currently seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals for casual Labourer positions at Dubbo's local Water Treatment Plant.
If you are physically fit, enjoy hands-on work, and are eager to contribute to a vital community service, we want to hear from you!
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM 38 hours per week, inclusive of alternate weekend work No overtime or on-call work required.
Key Responsibilities: Cleaning lime slackers and maintaining general plant cleanliness.
Performing regular inspections and tests on water samples, including monitoring pH levels, chlorine levels, turbidity, and other water quality parameters (with guidance from Technicians).
Assisting with routine maintenance and repairs of water treatment equipment such as pumps, valves, filters, and chemical feed systems (under guidance of Technicians).
Driving to the reservoir to conduct basic water testing and maintenance tasks.
Loading powdered activated carbon into dosing equipment.
Inspecting the reservoir compound and ensuring its upkeep.
Placing chlorine tablets into dosing machines at reservoirs.
Key Requirements: Must hold an Australian Driver's Licence and have access to your own vehicle.
White Card (required for site work).
Forklift Ticket Confined spaces and working at height training is advantageous, but not essential.
Experience in general labouring roles preferred.
Ability to successfully pass a Drug and Alcohol test.
Physically fit for repetitive and manual tasks.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
