The Position
Reporting to the CEO, the General Manager – Operations will be responsible for all aspects of business operations at our clients manufacturing facility in the heart of the Riverina. You will be responsible for:
Overseeing all Health, Safety and Environmental matters, leading from the front to ensure all SHE breaches are accounted for and further imbed positive behaviours. Ensure accurate financial reporting, managing budgets and accounting for all site capital works and expense requirements. Lead and oversee all aspects of facility operations, including purchasing, scheduling, manufacturing, warehousing, quality assurance and WHS. Manage and lead a high performing team, including championing safety at the facility and a process driven work environment. Communicate and ensure quality standards are understood across all areas of the manufacturing facility. Engage with customers and relevant stakeholder management teams to ensure the customer is championed and having their expectations exceeded. The Person
We are seeking a proactive, hands-on leader who can manage and drive all aspects of the manufacturing facility to ensure it remains an industry leader. The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in a leadership position in a manufacturing environment, ideally with an understanding of the commodity crushing and refining sector. Tertiary qualifications within a suitable disciple as well as additional leadership courses. Demonstrated understanding of the principles required to oversee manufacturing operations, maintenance and engineering. A strong focus on work place health and safety, and an understanding of the relevant Workplace Health and Safety Act. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal that demonstrate your stakeholder engagement experience. A natural problem solver with analytical thinking. An interest in the Australian agricultural and grains sector would be beneficial, as well as an appreciation for the Riverina farming sector.
