Job DescriptionThe Role: We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Labour Coordinator to support our operations team in ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet the business's operational needs. This role serves as the key link between production, internal and external recruitment to ensure seamless labour management and efficient operations.
As the Labour Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing labour maps, coordinating rosters and ensuring that both short-term and long-term staffing requirements are met. Your efforts will be crucial in ensuring the smooth running of our production lines and you will play a key role in optimizing staffing levels and operational efficiency.
Key Accountabilities: Collaborate with Production and Operations Managers to develop and update labour maps for various operational departments.Design and plan work shift schedules that support business demands while ensuring optimal productivity.Work closely with the internal and external recruitment team to communicate both immediate and forecasted staffing requirements for full-time, part-time and casual roles.Create and submit detailed reports on labour metrics, including gaps in staffing and staffing fill rates.Assist with payroll procedures and activities, ensuring that staffing data is accurately reflected in payroll systems.Identify and implement new processes and procedures to improve efficiency.About You: Previous experience in a similar labour coordination role within a high-volume, fast-paced FMCG environment.Previous experience working with internal and external labour sources, including managing casual staffing pools.Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with internal teams and external partners.Resilience and adaptability to change.Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to proactively address labour challenges and mitigate disruptions.Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for continuous improvement.Great networker, able to build and maintain professional relationships with business partners at all levels within the company.
