About the role Based at our Jindivick Site, we are seeking a team-oriented, experienced Laboratory Technician to join our Laboratory team for a maternity leave role (12 months contract)
Responsibilities include: Chemical and bacteriological analyses of in-line and finished product and raw materials.
Ensure prompt and accurate test results are communicated to internal and external customers, in both written reports and verbally Maintain equipment as per cleaning and calibration schedules and ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained at all times.
You will also receive, check and store all consumables for the laboratory and undertake other duties as required About you: Hold a Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or similar Have previous experience in a laboratory supporting a food manufacturing operation and knowledge of good laboratory practices.
You will have strong communication skills and a dedication to get it right the first time Self-motivated and able to work autonomously Have a strong focus on quality and safety and be able to work as part of an effective team Have a working knowledge of HACCP, Lean Manufacturing and OH&S are desirable but not essential Our story: Ours is a STORY of a family business created by the Besnier Family in 1933 and is today the worlds' No.
