Geotesta Pty Ltd is a specialist Geotechnical, Structural and Environmental Engineering consulting firm established in 2006.Since inception, Geotesta has successfully completed projects including land development, residential and commercial buildings, road and water infrastructure, and mining projects.Our core business is providing engineering services to local and state governments and authorities, land developers, builders and contractors, architects and other consultants.The RoleThe Lab Technician's primary role is to perform sampling, testing and reviewing of test results of construction materials samples according to relevant standards, while at the same time ensuring quality and accuracy of test results and adhering to safe operating procedures and guidelines. This role undertakes both field and laboratory testing.Additionally, this role involves maintaining equipment in good operating order and performing internal verifications of lab equipment as required. Maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders is another essential requirement of this role.To be successful in this role you will need to have the following:Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, including field experienceExperience in working with Australian and other relevant construction materials testing standardsCertificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or Diploma in Laboratory Operations (or other relevant qualifications) – highly desirableHold drivers' licence and Construction White CardNuclear Density Gauge licence (advantageous)Strong verbal and written communication skillsSound level of literacy, computer literacy and numeracy skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to analyse and solve problems using initiativeValid work rights in Australia (unrestricted)Committed to Geotesta's values:AccountabilityDeterminationIntegrityCohesionCollaborationClient FocusedSummary of role requirements:Looking for candidates available to work:Monday: Morning, AfternoonTuesday: Morning, AfternoonWednesday: Morning, AfternoonThursday: Morning, AfternoonFriday: Morning, AfternoonSaturday: Morning, AfternoonSunday: Morning, Afternoon2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this roleWorking rights required for this roleExpected start date for role: 02 December 2024Expected salary: $68,000 - $70,000 per year
