Unique opportunity for motivated individuals to join our Asphalt business as Laboratory Technicians based in West Burleigh or North Brisbane.
The main focus of this position will be undertaking tasks in relation to sampling, mechanical testing, physical analysis, maintenance of records, reporting of results for our aggregate and asphalt related products. This is a permanent role with occasional overtime.
Your day will involve: Conducting physical testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions and manuals Field sampling and testing on project sites Calibration of laboratory equipment Maintain, observe, and take part in the statutory safety requirements of the laboratory operation Assisting in the maintenance of the laboratory according to NATA accreditation requirements What we are looking for: Flexibility to work shift work when required Strong analytical skill and a commitment to safety and quality Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised in the laboratory Previous construction materials laboratory experience is a plus Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or another relevant discipline e.g., Civil, Materials (desirable) Understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data Knowledge of Australian and industry standards Good communication and organisational skills What's On Offer?
