The Role Reporting to the Laboratory Team Leader, Laboratory Technicians are accountable for ensuring that analytical activities and associated tasks are conducted in a safe, professional, timely manner and in accordance with required policies and procedures. It is a residential role; you will work full time at our Kemerton site (located near Bunbury in the South West of Western Australia), and will be required to work on operational shift roster. Key Responsibilities Organising assigned tasks to maximise Laboratory efficiencies Managing and preparing samples for analysis Undertaking analyses with various analytical equipment and instrumentation, as required Positively contributing within a team environment Identifying anomalies in sample type analytical results, sample type and assisting with the investigations of non-conformances Undertaking calibration and maintenance of equipment, consumables stock inventory control Mentoring inexperienced Laboratory Technicians and performing routine housekeeping and other duties, as required About You Albemarle is a values-driven company that appreciates and promotes resilience, equity, inclusion and diversity of background, experience and expertise. As the successful candidate you will possess:
Previous Laboratory experience and/or experience in sample preparation, ICP-AES, GF-AAS, PSD, XRF (Desirable) and classical techniques A qualification in a scientific or related discipline and/or Certificate IV or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques Quality focused with a high attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and multi-task Current WA Driver's License C Class Albemarle requires successful applicants to pass a pre-employment medical, and complete on-boarding verification of employment history, right to work, qualifications and necessary clearances.
