Job Description
The Position
Reporting to the Laboratory Team Leader, the Laboratory Technician is responsible for ensuring analytical activities and associated tasks are conducted in a safe, professional, timely manner and in accordance with required policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately completing assigned tasks according to approved Laboratory procedures and work instructions in a timely fashion. Managing and preparing samples and reagents for analysis. Undertaking analyses with various analytical equipment and instrumentation as required. Contributing to a positive culture with a high regard for Safety, Inclusion, and Diversity. Identifying anomalies in analytical results and assisting with the investigation of non-conformances. Ensuring good housekeeping practices are upheld. Undertaking calibration and maintenance of equipment, consumables stock inventory control, and assisting with other duties as required. Work Experience / Technical Skill Requirements
Computer literacy (MS Office). Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills. Highly motivated with proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good organizational, communication, and time management skills. Quality focused with a high attention to detail. Previous laboratory experience - desirable. Education / Qualification Requirements
