We have an exciting permanent opportunity on offer based in Narangba for an enthusiastic candidate looking to commence their career as a Laboratory Technician in an established team.
Reporting to the Laboratory Services Manager, the Laboratory Technician supports the National Quality System through the receipt and analysis of raw materials and finished feeds and the delivery of the Continuous Improvement Quality Action Plan.
Key responsibilities for this position include: Conduct wet chemistry and other laboratory testing as required;Perform NIR testing and assist in the coordination and validation of the National NIR calibration schedule;Maintain Quality records and databases in accordance with established reporting systems;Maintain laboratory equipment in a clean and functional state, including calibration maintenance;Perform QA testing of raw materials and finished feeds;Support Ridley's Quality Improvement Action Plan and its associated Management systems;Support Technical, R&D, Innovation and Sustainability Programs as required;Assist with the promotion of a safe, quality culture.The key skills and attributes required for this position include: Tertiary qualification in chemistry, biology or microbiology or related field, or TAFE equivalent.Familiarity and experience with PCR or ELISA highly desirable.Familiarity and experience with HPLC or GC desirable.Computing and keyboard skills including word processing, spreadsheets, internet and email.Preparation of samples and reagents, calibration, operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.Attention to detail.A systematic, detailed and disciplined approach to work.Problem solving and sound data analytical ability.Organisational and multitasking skills and ability to work to deadlines.Benefits include: Salary Continuance InsuranceHealth insurance discountsEmployee Assistance ProgramRidley Share OptionsHow to apply If this is you, look no further and apply at www.ridley.com.au/about/vacancies and provide both your resume and cover letter.
