Description: Responsibilities will include:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision of the QA Laboratory function.
Manage the hold and release of products and related processes following testing to the Sunbeam Quality Plan.Maintain retention samples' collection, storage, assessment and end of shelf life assessments.Ensure compliance with export and domestic MRLs and MPLs by sampling and testing products.Be responsible for a range of verifications and assessments e.g. weights and measures, organoleptic during processing and packing, water inputs, waste water and plant environmental testing for pathogens and other microorganisms.Supervise chemical, microbiological, physical testing and analytical instrument testing of products using HPLC, UV/VIS spectrophotometer, wet chemical titration methods, distillation and titration methods, microbiological aseptic plating, incubation, plate counting and microscopic methods, and other analytical techniques as required.Provide Certificate of Analysis (COA's) to domestic and international customers.Maintain laboratory and associated systems to ensure compliance with OH&S Federal, State and Local Government Acts, Regulations and By-Laws is maintained and appropriately reported.Ensure the laboratory document control systems, laboratory manuals, & laboratory calibration systems are fully maintained.Skills and Experience: Industry and Laboratory Supervisory experience, with a tertiary qualification Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, or BSc Degree in Science, Food Science or Food Technology or related discipline highly regarded.Experience in a FMCG environment, in Laboratory, QA or Technical roles preferable.Understanding of HACCP, Food Safety Auditing and Global Food Safety Management Systems (BRC, SQF, GMP, HACCP) in a FMCG environment highly regarded.Auditing training & experience as a Food Safety auditor or Internal Auditor is highly regarded.A current valid motor vehicle (car) driver license is essential to fulfil multi-site sampling and audit requirements.Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills.Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.Effective communicator at all levels in the organisation.Attention to detail - Accurate data entry skills.Team player - you love working collaboratively and cross-functionally.Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.The Benefits: Superb company culture.Supportive management.Competitive remuneration.Ongoing training and professional development.Parental Leave Policy.Service Recognition Program.Employee Assistance Program (EAP). #J-18808-Ljbffr
