About Your Next Opportunity Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology has an exciting opportunity for full-time and part-time evening Laboratory Scientists positions within the Microbiology Department at the Bowen Hills laboratory.
Shifts are 6:00 pm to 1:30 am Monday to Friday.
A minimum of three shifts a week are required.
Weekend day or night rostering and participation in a public holiday roster may be required when appropriately trained.
The successful candidate will be expected to: Uphold quality standards within the laboratory by adhering to departmental quality system procedures; Comply with the occupational health and safety policy and programs to ensure personal health and safety and the health and safety of others in the workplace; Satisfy the requirements of customers, both internal and external, through the provision of reliable and efficient service levels; and Comply with the company's "Code of Conduct" & "Code of Ethics".
About You The successful candidate will ideally have: Appropriate qualifications in medical laboratory science (or equivalent) A theoretical knowledge of current microbiology testing practices Laboratory experience in a microbiology laboratory particularly in the area of microscopy, blood culture processing and urine analysis Experience in the use and operation of current instruments, equipment and automated analysers Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and also as an effective member of a team Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and work methodically and efficiently, whilst adhering to occupational health and safety policies Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to provide excellence in customer service About the Benefits - Perks of the Job You will be part of a welcoming team of dedicated health professionals with a focus on patient care.
