Austin Health is one of Victoria's largest health care providers. Austin Health Pathology is a department of Austin Health and provides service to not only Austin Health and the co-located Mercy Hospital for Women, but also to numerous GPs and Specialists in the metropolitan and regional community. Austin Health Pathology is currently expanding into the Hume, Loddon Mallee and Goulburn Valley areas of regional Victoria, with laboratories in Shepparton, Mildura, Echuca and Swan Hill, and a point-of-care network.
About the Shepparton Laboratory Austin Health Pathology Shepparton is a core laboratory offering services of Biochemistry, Blood Transfusion, Haematology and Microbiology services. The Shepparton Laboratory operates 24/7 supporting GV Health hospital, as well as providing services to surrounding hospitals, GPs, and specialists from across the region.
About the role The Shepparton Laboratory is seeking two keen professionals to join our team. We are currently looking to fill both a full time and part time role in our specimen reception department.
A regular day will see you:
Sort and distribute all samples as they arrive into the laboratory.Register specimens and request details into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).Operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment as required.Deliver specimens within the laboratory.About You You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
