Position Title: Koori Mental Health Liaison Officer (KMHLO)
Classification: XX7 - ON15, Community Dev Worker C2B Y1 - Y7
Salary per hour (exc. super): $41.39 - $49.72
Hours per fortnight: 76
Employment Status: Full-time, Fixed-term for 6 months
Other requirements: COVID-19 Vaccination (3 doses)
Closing date:  1 July 2024 This position is responsible for supporting the delivery of Mental Health services to Aboriginal people from across the Loddon Mallee Region in an inpatient setting. The role offers culturally appropriate support to patients and their families through engagement, advocacy and referral to other services to support patients and families during admission to our mental health facilities. The purpose of this role is also to assist staff to enhance their understanding of Aboriginal cultural issues in relation to social and emotional wellbeing.

Your new division The Community and Public Health Services Division has a primary focus on improving the health outcomes of the communities in our region. With a range of local and regional programs supporting place-based health promotion, prevention, care and support, they work collaboratively with other Divisions and regional partnerships and networks to support quality outcomes. The Division has a strong leadership role in the Loddon Mallee Region and is committed to ensuring processes are in place to deliver on our Division.
