Reporting to the Senior Knowledge Lawyer - Insurance, you will work in our highly regarded Knowledge team to provide professional support to all lawyers and partners within the national Insurance section and the broader firm. You'll also work closely with our Client Solutions, Information Technology, Business Development and Learning & Development teams.
The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of work including:
providing professional support in the area of knowledge management primarily to the firm's national Insurance practice; assisting with the drafting of precedents and promoting the development and use of precedents; project work, including developing technical improvements and progressing automation, and Hall & Wilcox Smarter Law solutions; preparing and assisting with the delivery of training, and the preparation of agendas and minutes; maintaining knowledge repositories; proofreading and ensuring compliance with the firm's style guide; and working with the Knowledge team to support other sections (including our Commercial teams) as required. About you You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
between 2 and 4 years of post-admission experience; experience in insurance law, ideally from a defendant law firm; excellent document drafting and contract review skills and attention to detail; strong interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to prioritise and follow up tasks autonomously; a keen interest in knowledge sharing, project management, precedent development, and style compliance; and prior experience with, or an interest in, intranet and knowledge database content, document automation, and PowerPoint is desirable.
