Kitchen hand  - Full Time North Brisbane An exciting opportunity exists to join The Common Good and become a part of our Social Enterprise café team located in North Brisbane.
About The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation We make an impact by funding life-changing medical research to help people live healthier for longer. Through the power of the collective, we support and facilitate the work of incredible researchers who are dedicated to making breakthroughs in the areas of heart disease, lung disease, mental health and ageing.  Researchers rely on time to make medical discoveries that go on to save lives. Our goal is to provide them with as much time as possible in the hopes of changing lives for the better.  We are also proud to support hospital innovation and patient care initiatives at both The Prince Charles Hospital and Caboolture Hospital.  To help achieve our mission, we operate a variety of social enterprise cafes and a catering business. This role is for someone who is truly driven. We have high expectations – because the success of this café funds lifesaving medical research and we have such a great opportunity to inspire the hopes and dreams of so many people.
Key responsibilities: You will need to have vision but can also make sure that the day-to-day operations are humming. You will have an incredible opportunity to work within our business and tie in with the staff into the purpose of the organisation. On any given day you will be involved in:
Clear, wash and pack away dishes and associated kitchen equipment.Ensuring all Food Safety requirements are followedUnderstanding of the various needs of our customers within the hospitality industry.Preparing ingredients and small goods in line with cafe processesAssisting chef's in food preparation, including Sandwiches, Wraps and various mealsRotate stock utilising use by dates and standard stock rotationAccepting deliveries and organising stock areasWe're looking for someone who has experience in a small to medium cafe, has an appetite for success working with a dedicated and long serving kitchen team
You love working with people, have an eye for detail & most importantly have high standards of presentation & know what great food looks like, tastes like and love creating it.

Details: A Casual opportunity working Saturday and Sunday and at least 1 weekday. Opportunities to progress to Part-Time or Full-Time, and access to salary sacrificing options.Applicants must have full Australian working rights and per the Queensland Government mandate, be fully vaccinatedWorking closely with the Kitchen Manager you will complement the team by:
