We have several opportunities in the Central West covering Bathurst and Orange for Complex Disability Support Workers to join the Kirinari Complex Care Team. This team works across Out of Home Care (OOHC) and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and supports people who experience challenging behaviours with a focus on trauma informed care and trauma recovery. About the Position The Complex Care Team provides services and supports to both OOHC / Voluntary OOHC and NDIS participants allowing a dual role across Youth and Disability Support. The Youth Worker/Disability Support Worker is responsible for developing, assisting and supporting clients in various locations such as houses, schools, hospitals, community centers and emergency accommodation on a daily basis.
This position works within Kirinari's strength-based, non-punitive, therapeutic model of care to provide safety to our clients while identifying and supporting growth needs. You will be working with a variety of different clients, of all age groups who will have complex trauma and behavioral support needs.
This position is open to applicants who are new to the industry or have experience across a range of support services including challenging behaviours and or high physical needs.
