Tassal has an exciting opportunity, and we are looking to engage with candidates for the role of Quality Manager for our Prawn Operations in Queensland .

What You Will Be Focusing On:
The Position
Provide leadership and direction to the Product Quality teams.
Ensure that all processing facilities meet or exceed all quality certifications and regulatory and customer requirements.
Become a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team by providing quality support and training to all areas of the business and help them to identify quality improvement projects.
Promote a culture of identifying, reporting, and managing food safety and product quality risks.
Develop and maintain customer relationships from a quality perspective.
Partner effectively with Operations to ensure that food safety and quality policies and procedures are clearly defined, communicated, and effective.
Manage all risk components within the processing of Tassal products.
Manage quality team accountability for strategic business results.
Ensure regulatory and product compliance in the product development process and maintain our 'license to operate'.
The Ideal Candidate
A minimum of 5 years experience as a Quality Leader within a food production/FMCG business.
Strong understanding of food processing including quality management systems and food safety.
Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, or similar field is desirable.
A strong ability to work strategically and be hands-on when required.
60% of the role is day-to-day tactical work, 40% is focused on developing and executing strategies.
Collaborative and pragmatic in their style, inclusive in making decisions.
Strong communication, coaching, consultation, and negotiation skills with an ability to engage and influence internal stakeholders across all levels of the business.
Must have a 'can do' attitude and be solution-driven.
