About The Role We are looking for Key Workers to deliver interventions to NDIS participants (specifically children aged 0-8) and their families that lead to positive, life-changing outcomes in Bendigo and surrounding areas.
This position is full-time or part-time (4 days per week).
Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments is essential, as this is the most highly requested time for Key Workers to provide therapy to their participants.
Your Everyday As a Key Worker at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same.
If you were here last week, these are some of the things you may have done: Working in the social model means you'll work and deliver therapy in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, and community centres Attended a family's home to conduct their initial appointment, utilizing your assessment and communication skills to get to know them, their child and goals Worked collaboratively with a kinder teacher at a preschool to support a child to develop their motor skills Coached parents through finding a school that best suits their young child's needs Worked collaboratively with a Speech Pathologist and family members to support a child to develop their communication and social skills Built meaningful relationships with the participants and their supports (family, carers, friends) Documented, and billed for, each session through our online participant management system Provided support for a 5-year-old after school so that they can establish consistent routines Attended the weekly team meeting in the Hub; sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs You'll have met with your Team Leader and Therapy Mentor to tap into their clinical knowledge and/or support Dropped into an online mentoring session to build knowledge of using Assistive Technology with a participant and some tips to introduce some behavioral support strategies What We Offer Continuous Learning: Guidance and support provided by industry-leading early childhood clinicians and allied health practitioners to help you excel.

To work as a Key Worker, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and registration.
If you are an Occupational Therapist, you will have a degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration If you are a Physiotherapist, you will have a degree in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration If you are a Speech Pathologist, you will have a degree in Speech Pathology and SPA registration If you are an Educator, you will have a degree in Education and hold full teaching registration with the relevant state education authority You will also need: Minimum 12 months experience working with working with children (aged 0-8) and their families Demonstrated experience working with children with disability A positive and flexible approach to work Strong communication skills and be a team player Commitment to personal and professional growth A valid Australian drivers license NDIS Workers Screening Check Working with Childrens Check Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments Join the Change-Makers Be a part of a team that's changing the game for people with disabilities and making inclusion possible for all Australians.
