Our therapy team have sites in St Albans, North Fitzroy, Pascoe Vale, Mill Park, Greensborough, Bendigo and Geelong.ResponsibilitiesWork alongside children, young people and their families to set goals, develop strategies and support their implementation.Provide play-based therapeutic services focused on child and family goals for children in the child's environment (home and education setting) or in the clinic.Utilise skills and knowledge to provide goal driven family-centred programs to support families through a keyworker model of practice and parent coaching.Utilise your understanding of child development to evaluate and deliver evidence-based, holistic interventions for children.Opportunity to develop specialist areas of interest such as prescription of Assistive Technology and minor Home Modifications, Sensory Processing and Emotional Regulation.Complete assessments to guide skill-based therapy in the areas of fine/gross motor, sensory processing, emotional regulation and self-care.Work collaboratively with other disciplines and stakeholders within the team to deliver high quality integrated therapy supports.Be proactive in your learning by participating in monthly supervision, monthly peer supervision and generous professional development- specialize in your areas of interest.Be part of a team, whilst managing your own schedule and flexible working arrangements.Benefits of working with MCM include:Work in a well-established team.Additional purchase leave available.Access to tax effective NFP salary packaging arrangements (which equates to $15,900) and supportive work/life balance provisions.Extensive in-house individual supervision by senior therapists.MCM recognises the importance of investing in the training, learning and development of our employees, including a budget of $1000 pro rata of PD training each year.Laptop and mobile phone are supplied.Regular case conference discussions where you can feel supported and collaborate with your teammates.Travel reimbursement and practical travel requirements.Minimum RequirementsA tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Ability to work collaboratively with your team to achieve outcomes for children and families.Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.Ability to work independently, to implement effective caseload management strategies.Knowledge of the NDIS and ability to work within a billable model.Current Working with Children Check, NDIS worker screening check and other screening checks as advised.Valid driver's licence, own vehicle and the ability to travel within the northern suburbs, western suburbs or regional centres depending on your base.Screening CriteriaNational Police check.Working with Children check and NDIS Worker Screening check or ability to obtain.Valid Victorian Drivers licence.Right to Work in Australia.Applications for this role close: 8th of November 2024, so please apply early.
