We currently have an exciting role for you to lead our Kerb and Footpath Maintenance Team.
This team plays a crucial role in maintaining and managing over 1400kms of kerbs and footpaths, ensuring they are safe, accessible, and sustainable for all community members.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join us in this mission.
Key Responsibilities:Provides specialist and technical advice and leadership to the Kerb and Footpath Maintenance teams.Set outcomes for the work area prioritising and allocating work across teams to deliver Section plan objectives and meet customer demand.Ensures that the Kerb and Footpath Maintenance teams operate within allocated budgets in alignment with Section Plan deliverables.Drives business improvements and recommendations, with a customer first focus.Manages customer requests and expectations in a timely and appropriate manner.Works collaboratively with other leaders and teams to improve service delivery across the Council, with a focus on new maintenance methods that shift towards renewable and recycled materials.Undertakes workforce planning, recruitment, performance management and professional development to support future operational needs.Minimum Requirements:Experience in a leadership position in a multifaceted organisation.Experience in leading a strong safety culture in field operations.High level knowledge of Civil Engineering disciplines.Experience in developing and delivering work programs and associated financial management.Authentic leadership qualities that build constructive relationships with staff, stakeholders and community.Diploma of Management or similar is highly desirable.A Cert IV qualification in Civil Construction Supervision is highly desirable.This is a Level 7 position which has a current salary range of $120,483 - $128,062 (plus Super).
