Utilise your expertise to provide support and advice to Corrections Victoria at the Metropolitan Remand Centre.An ongoing, full-time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service.About the Business Unit: Metropolitan Remand Centre (MRC) is a maximum-security remand facility based in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne.
Prisoners on remand are alleged offenders who were not bailed when charged with a crime and are awaiting the outcome of their court case.
The Metropolitan Remand Centre is a 954-bed maximum-security facility for unsentenced male offenders located within the West Metropolitan Region, Department of Justice, and Community Safety.
About the Role: At the Metropolitan Remand Centre (MRC), each Justice Officer role specialises in one of six streams: Records, Property, Stores/Canteen, Infrastructure/Technology, Finance, and Administration.
Over time, and with appropriate support and training, Justice Officers may be rotated between these streams to provide career enhancement opportunities and operational flexibility to the prison.
Some of your duties will include:
Greeting and liaising with clients and stakeholders and providing accurate advice and information in relation to justice services in accordance with business processes.Delivering justice services and maintaining accurate, confidential records and providing statistical reports in line with agreed standards and local operating procedures.As part of the Records team, under supervision, performing all administrative functions pertaining to Records at the Metropolitan Remand Centre.To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.
About You: As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
