About the Business Unit: The North West Metropolitan Area (NWMA) accounts for approximately 1800 staff across 21 sites. These sites deliver a range of services including custodial services at prisons, Community Correctional Services, Youth Justice Services, Sheriff's Operations, Consumer Affairs, and management of community services.
About the Role: The Justice Officer role is to deliver friendly, efficient customer service to clients of the Department of Justice and Regulation, as well as providing consistent, timely and accurate administrative support to regional locations and staff.
Some of your duties will include:
Providing a range of high quality and efficient front of house administrative services. Providing information and assistance to clients, internal and external stakeholders and the public. Providing reception and telephone responses for the location. The position is based at the Derrimut Community Work Service Centre. However, it is an expectation of the role that the successful applicant is willing to support at other locations across either the North Metro. A driver's license is therefore preferred but not essential.
About You: As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
Written Communication – The ability to produce a range of standard written documents, providing clear information and using language appropriate to the audience. Verbal Communication – The ability to assess audience and provide appropriately tailored and clear information. Computer Skills – The ability to effectively use departmental computer systems for basic word processing, email, appointment scheduling, and internet and intranet functions.
