Job Description: AppLocation Systems, a leading provider of location-based solutions, is seeking a skilled and motivated Junior to Mid-level Embedded Engineer to work on a contract basis for PlatformScience, a cutting-edge technology company that is innovating in the transportation and trucking fleets industry. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining embedded systems for PlatformScience's transportation solutions.

Responsibilities: Design, develop and maintain embedded systems using "go", C, C++ and shell scripting. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and analyze customer requirements, and design and implement solutions that meet those requirements. Develop and execute testing procedures to ensure the reliability and performance of embedded systems. Rapidly adapt to new devices and port code across multiple platforms. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability. Write clear and concise technical documentation. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Strong knowledge of "go", C, C++ and shell scripting programming languages. Experience with embedded Linux. Familiarity with microcontroller and microprocessor architectures. Ability to rapidly adapt to new devices and port code across multiple platforms. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with transportation and trucking fleets. Familiarity with CAN bus and J1939 protocols. Familiarity with real-time operating systems. Experience with Git, JIRA, and Agile methodologies.
