We are seeking a passionate and motivated Junior Sustainability Specialist to join our team.
In this role, you will support our sustainability initiatives, help assess our environmental impact, and contribute to our mission of creating a cleaner, greener future.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing and implementing sustainability programs focused on reducing waste, energy usage, and carbon emissions.Conduct research and analyze data on sustainable practices, environmental impact, and industry trends to support sustainability initiatives.Monitor and report on sustainability metrics, compiling data for internal and external reporting requirements.Support efforts to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify sustainability goals and integrate practices across various departments.Assist in the process of acquiring sustainability certifications (e.g., ISCC, ISO 14001, LEED, B Corp), working with external and internal stakeholders to gather required information and documentation.Help maintain records and documentation related to certifications, ensuring timely renewals and adherence to certification standards.Contribute to sustainability outreach and awareness programs, assisting in organizing workshops, seminars, and training sessions.Prepare presentations, reports, and communications to promote the company's sustainability efforts to internal stakeholders.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or Science, Sustainability, or a related fieldStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesFamiliarity with sustainability practices and environmental regulationsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuitePassion for sustainability and commitment to making a positive impact on the environment
