Responsibilities: Develop and apply complex data models to analyse NEM and ASX Energy Futures markets Create and maintain forecasting models for energy supply and demand factors Design optimisation models to conduct scenario analysis and assess future outcomes Develop real-time alerting and diagnostic tools to support trading strategies Prepare and present detailed reports and dashboards on modelling outputs and market views Contribute to trading ideas and revenue-generating strategies Collaborate with the Market Analysis team and support broader asset development initiatives Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will bring up to 3 years of experience in energy markets, data science, or related fields, or be a recent graduate with a strong interest in market analysis.
A degree in a STEM discipline or Economics is required, demonstrating a solid foundation in mathematical and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL is essential for data handling and model development, and experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau will be highly regarded.
