Position: Junior Estimator / Project Coordinator
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator / Project Coordinator to join our team at Minprovise. If you have a passion for project coordination and estimating, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.
About Minprovise: MINPROVISE is a specialist products, engineering and services company providing expert support to the mining and construction industries. This includes the supply of mineral processing equipment, onsite installations, maintenance & repairs, shutdowns, offsite repairs, and fabrication. Our suite of products covers mineral processing and bulk materials handling equipment along with other specialty products. Key Responsibilities: Provide input into tenders and quotes, develop tender deliverables, and assist in reviewing tenders for safety plans, quality plans, estimates, schedules, and methodologies. Lead and manage projects in line with company policies and procedures, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery. Plan, coordinate, and review key deliverables, including scheduling, QA/QC, reporting, and documentation specific to project contracts. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, customer requirements, and industry standards. Manage project financials, including preparing progress payment certificates and tracking project costs. Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure project timelines and specifications are met. Proactively manage project risks and scope changes through the change management process. Produce accurate variation and cost estimates for construction and fabrication projects. Participate in site inspections and collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth project execution. Qualifications and Experience: Formal qualifications in Business Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related trade. Minimum of 4 years of workshop experience in a fabrication workshop. Strong understanding of engineering principles and experience within the Mining, Oil & Gas, or similar industries. Ability to scope, plan, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Strong communication skills, capable of liaising with stakeholders at all levels. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, including MS Project and Excel. Desirable: Knowledge of the resources industry, including key client contacts and project experience. Experience in estimating systems and databases.
