Join the Technology team which is responsible for supporting the trading, back office and analytic database estate as well as the data pipelines that feed the trading analytic platform, along with database support.
The Junior Data Systems Support Analyst will work closely with the Data and Trading teams. This role needs a problem solver and somebody willing to learn, with excellent communications skills, a team player able to help others to deliver the companies objectives.
What you'll be involved in: Provide first line support for the trading data pipelines and systems used around the worldMonitor and maintain the data pipelines and systemsHelp support PostgreSQL databasesWork with the Data Engineering team to ensure the tools delivered are supportable and fit for purposeHelp Quantitative Developers and Traders to navigate the data estateEnsure documentation is in place for all tooling to be handed over into support What we need from you: Ability to troubleshoot and think of creative solutions to problemsExcellent communication skills and a team playerProactive, and demonstrates ability to follow issues through to resolutionA self-motivated problem solver and intellectually curiousAttention to detailA desire to work in a fast paced and dynamic environmentDesirable: Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and environmentsDesirable: Knowledge of PostgreSQL and MS SQLDesirable: Familiarity with SQL and Python We are Mako
