Join the Technology team which is responsible for supporting the trading, back office and analytic database estate as well as the data pipelines that feed the trading analytic platform, along with database support.
The Junior Data Systems Support Analyst will work closely with the Data and Trading teams. This role needs a problem solver and somebody willing to learn, with excellent communication skills, a team player able to help others to deliver the company's objectives.
What you'll be involved in:
Provide first line support for the trading data pipelines and systems used around the world
Monitor and maintain the data pipelines and systems
Help support PostgreSQL databases
Work with the Data Engineering team to ensure the tools delivered are supportable and fit for purpose
Help Quantitative Developers and Traders to navigate the data estate
Ensure documentation is in place for all tooling to be handed over into support
What we need from you:
Ability to troubleshoot and think of creative solutions to problems
Excellent communication skills and a team player
Proactive, and demonstrates ability to follow issues through to resolution
A self-motivated problem solver and intellectually curious
Attention to detail
A desire to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Desirable: Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and environments
Desirable: Knowledge of PostgreSQL and MS SQL
Desirable: Familiarity with SQL and Python
