Join us on our exciting growth journey and help shape the future.Position Overview:The primary responsibility of this role is to provide timely and accurate financial and labour hour reports to the Site Manager and Operations Manager on the financial performance of the site operations and project works for taking prompt actions to address any identified deviations from approved budget and forecast.This role is both a site-based mining role but with regular visits to the company's site operations as well as equal time in the office in Belmont. Site works will attract a 15% penalty on the hourly rate.Key Responsibilities:Create and maintain Company standard templates for site operation financial management, including tracking man hour usage, labour and supply costs against set budgets as well as incomes.Collaborate with the site management team to assist with the preparation of area man hour and spending budgets.Provide manhours tracking and variance reports on a weekly basis to site managers and operations managers to ensure manhour commitments are as per forecast and on track.Prepare project-based reporting to track revenue, cost, and margins for individual projects and report the same to management on a regular basis.Investigate site operation and project variances and provide variance reports to the relevant area managers and company management for taking corrective actions if required.Support project claims by collecting and checking all necessary documents to ensure compliance with contracts and issue invoices for completed works.Assist in compiling site-based information for internal and external auditors as required.Maintain and regularly update all relevant spreadsheets for the group Power BI Platform.Provide backup and assistance to site administrators as needed for smooth business performance.Perform regular asset counts at the site and provide updates to management on a monthly basis for accurate intercompany recharges.Ensure finance procedures are always followed by the site and report any compliance issues to head office.Any other duties as directed by the Finance Manager.About you:Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance.Sound knowledge of accounting principles, contracts, variations, and financial documentation.High attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks efficiently.Strong ability to perform data and statistical analysis to spot trends and anomalies.Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other financial software and tools for reporting and analysis purposes.Previous experience with Power BI and other dashboards reporting tools would be greatly preferred.3 to 5 years' experience in project accounting preferably in the mining or construction industry.Along with a rewarding career, Karridale Group offers:Competitive remuneration package.Free on-site parking.Discounted health insurance membership.What's next:Once receiving your application, the Recruiting Team will screen and match your skills, experience, and potential team fit against the role requirements.
