Brief Job Description:SS Benching is a well-established sheet metal fabrication business located in the Kilsyth area. Our business is continuing to grow and requires a draftsperson to join the team.This role will work alongside the director and operations manager to primarilyProduce 2D/3D technical drawings for clientsCreate CAM files for 2D laser cutterCreate CAM files for 2D CNC routerIf you are the right person for this role, you will be highly organized, efficient, and able to think quickly and multi-task. You will have attention to detail and be able to work alone unsupervised when required. The ability to interpret engineering & construction drawings is critical.Experience with CAD software is strongly desired (e.g. Solidworks or similar), ideally experience with sheet metal components. Experience programming laser cutters is strongly desired (E.g. Metalix or similar).This role is primarily office based however prior fabrication experience/hands-on skills will benefit the application. Tradespeople looking to migrate to an office environment will be considered.
