This would be the perfect career step for someone currently studying in a similar field or wanting to grow their previous finance knowledge in a professional club environment!About the roleThe Junior Accounts Officer role is responsible for assisting the finance team with daily and monthly processes, as well as receiving, recording, and verifying various transactions in a timely and accurate manner.The role will provide additional support and cover to our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Accounting side of the business, with the aim to foster a strong business understanding of our industry and form key relationships, leading to growth and internal opportunities within the finance team or equivalent in the business.Responsibilities include:Assist and support the team with statement reconciliation and invoice matchingAssist with supplier queries and supplier forms/checklistsProvide and assist with administrative support to the businessResolve any transactional discrepanciesProvide backup to Accounts Payable Officer – matching, processing, and approving weekly payment runsProcess and assist the finance team with weekly and monthly billing and invoice generation to our debtorsAssist in processing daily and monthly journal entries for financial reportingManage the Petty Cash processPrepare daily and monthly tasks and reports for the finance team with monthly closureEnsure financial data is updated and relevant for available stakeholdersLiaise with internal departments regarding missing invoices, queries, and correct authorizationRespond, direct, and manage our respective finance-related inbox to ensure all queries are addressed in a timely mannerAssist with month-end processing and reportingMinimum Requirements:Currently studying a Business or Commerce degree or have relevant past experienceA high level of discretion regarding personnel records and confidential informationA high level of attention to detail and accuracyInnovative and able to use initiative when dealing with problem-solvingExceptional communication skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent time management with the ability to prioritize tasksMaintain a high level of professional and personal integrity and reliabilityAbility to travel between multiple work locations if requestedIf you are motivated, highly organized, and excited to take the next step in your finance career, we would love to hear from you!Bankstown Sports Club, Bankstown, New South Wales, Australia#J-18808-Ljbffr
