Junior Accountant

Avocadocare is a registered NDIS provider. We're seeking a bright and motivated Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this entry-level role, you'll gain valuable experience in the fast-paced world of NDIS industry.
Responsibilities Process and record daily financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency using Xero (accounting software).Assist with accounts receivable and payable, including issuing invoices, collecting payments, and processing vendor invoices in Xero.Participate in monthly and year-end closing procedures, including preparing data for the Business Activity Statement (BAS).Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts in Xero.Prepare financial reports and assist with the creation of budgets and forecasts.Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records in Xero.Assist senior accountants with preparing the BAS, including:Gathering and summarizing GST information (sales and purchases) in Xero.Calculating PAYG liabilities.Entering data into the BAS form or Xero.Reviewing the BAS for accuracy before submission.Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards and best practices, including those related to BAS reporting.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred).Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Mandatory: Proven experience working with Xero accounting software.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Note: Please don't apply if you don't have some level of experience.

Pay: $42,832.28 – $78,868.05 per year
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
