Junior Accountant

ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Junior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company and contribute to the success of the finance team. You will report directly to the CFO and support other management. This role is a great opportunity to gain experience while providing you with autonomy and flexibility.Responsibilities:Assist with month end procedures and complete month end journals - e.g. preparation of prepayment and accrual journalsComplete monthly review and reconciliations of general ledgerAssist with the preparation of financial statements and other financial data to support management decision makingAssist in completing the fortnightly payrollMaintain depreciation and lease payment schedulesAssist in maintaining cash flow forecasts and preparing weekly payment runsParticipate in other projects and business improvement initiatives where requiredAssist with the preparation of monthly BASPerform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the finance managerABOUT YOU1-2 years of experience in an accounting role preferred but not requiredProblem solving skills and a drive to implement process improvements to increase efficiency in the workplaceHigh attention to detail and strong organizational and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using an ERP systemExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsApplicants must have relevant AQF qualificationsJob Type: Full-timePay: $73,000.00 – $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:Work from homeSchedule:8 hour shiftWork Authorisation:Australia (Required)Work Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
