Join Our Team as a Coordinator for our School to Jobs Program! Are you passionate about empowering First Nations youth and driving impactful change?
Cape York Employment (CYE) is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Coordinator to assist in the delivery of our School to Jobs (S2J) Program.
This is a part-time position offering an exciting opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of Cape York youth.
About the Role As the Job Readiness Coordinator you will be responsible for empowering Indigenous students by providing support, training, and work readiness workshops.
This position aims to equip students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to enter the workforce successfully.
In collaboration with the Cape York Institute Leadership Academy (CYILA), the Coordinator will design and deliver work readiness programs that align with CYILA's standards and goals.
About you To be successful in this role you will have:
Relevant certifications in training or career coaching or counsellingMinimum of 2 years of experience in career development, education, or related fields, with a preference for experience working with Indigenous communities.Strong understanding of the challenges faced by Indigenous students in the job market.Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivate students.Ability to design and implement effective training programs and workshops.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Cultural sensitivity and respect for Indigenous traditions, beliefs, and values.Possess a Working with Children Blue Card and successfully complete a Police Check.Why Join Us?
