About The Balcony Restaurant:
Located at 287 Flinders Street in Townsville, The Balcony Restaurant is a family-owned establishment managed by Luke and Kelly, who bring over 20 years of experience in the local hospitality industry. They are dedicated to employing and training staff to deliver friendly, skilled, and professional service, with a special focus on hiring apprentices to support the culinary trade.
The restaurant offers a diverse menu, including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and vegetarian options to cater to all tastes. Signature dishes include the Chorizo Benedict and the Big Breakfast with a thick-cut slice of bacon. The menu also features creamy chicken risottos and other dishes prepared with high-quality local ingredients, such as Mungalli Creek Dairy milk and Yamagishi Happy Eggs.
The Position: Handkitchen
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Handkitchen. You will play a vital role in the kitchen, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Your Responsibilities:
Assist the kitchen team with food preparation and mise en place.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace that adheres to hygiene standards.
Support stock management and receive deliveries.
Work closely with the chefs to ensure smooth operations during service.
Be ready to assist wherever needed, always with a positive attitude and a smile.
What We're Looking For:
A punctual, detail-oriented, and energetic individual.
The ability to work effectively under pressure.
Experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage, but we are happy to train the right candidate.
A team player with a passion for the hospitality industry.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position: 35 to 40 hours per week.
Competitive pay of 33 AUD/hour.
