If so, you may be our new Senior Advisor on Renewable Energy in Australia. Based at the Royal Danish Embassy in Canberra, you will work closely with the Danish Ambassador in Canberra, the Trade Commissioner and the Trade Team in Sydney in supporting Danish trade and promoting Danish commercial interests in Australia.
Our service to the companies is building on strong relationships with relevant governmental departments.

Your focus will be within the renewable energy sector.
Job description - Senior Advisor You develop a strong network and partnership with relevant departments in the federal government as well as in selected state governments. You engage with Danish companies as they explore their potential in Australia and provide consulting services on how to develop their business in Australia. You will focus primarily on renewable energy. In cooperation with the companies, you will identify bottlenecks - and find ways to navigate through these. You will be responsible for the operational execution of strategies, as well as ensuring qualified lead generation for the Danish companies.
You will do this by opening doors to potential customers and stakeholders in Australia (and New Zealand), and introducing the Danish companies, their value proposition, products and services. You will be part of a dynamic and energetic team who continuously strive to work smarter to promote Danish commercial solutions and services to Australia and New Zealand.Required qualifications
The successful candidate will:
Have relevant education and 5-10 years' work experience – preferably in economic diplomacy, public affairs, commercial advisory services and project development. Have a strong ability to independently steer your own commercial projects. Have a strong understanding of the commercial and regulatory aspects in relation to the renewable energy sector in Australia – and drivers in the future development of this. Be able to work and act strategically with a focus on implementing strategies. Have a strong network in the renewable energy sector in Australia. Be ambitious, outgoing, and result-oriented with good coordination skills. Have an excellent command of English (written and spoken). Work efficiently, both on your own and in collaboration with others. Have a strong analytic mind, be a good colleague and be ready to take one for the team as needed. Be willing and able to travel to Denmark and within Oceania. Preferably reside in Australia, have Australian citizenship, residency or valid work permit.Employment conditions We offer full time employment on a local contract. Your standard working hours will be 37 hours per week. You will be entitled to 25 days of paid vacation per year. Your salary will reflect your qualifications, relevant experience, and proven work-related results. A level of travel activity is required domestically/Denmark.
