Our expertise extends across major engineering disciplines, including Building Services, Structural, Civil, and various sub-disciplines such as Traffic Engineering, Sustainable Engineering, and Remedial Work.
As the Billing Officer, you will be based in our Sutherland office and work closely with the Finance Manager and Administration and Facilities Manager.
You will be responsible for:
Invoicing of client projects, ensuring timely and accurate invoice issuance; Assisting with debt collection by contacting debtors, requesting payments, and maintaining documentation; Building relationships with JN clients to reduce payment friction; Implementing and improving JN's Invoicing initiatives; Maintaining and administering the Synergy accounts for active billable projects; Collaborating with senior Engineers to achieve efficient invoice generation; Promoting a positive work environment and team culture; Some travel to other offices around Sydney may be required; Assisting with ad hoc finance-related tasks as needed.
Your experience will include:
Three years of experience in a similar role; Completion or studying towards a relevant Accounting qualification; Experience with Synergy Project Management software is ideal; A proactive and positive attitude; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
We enjoy monthly Accrued Days Off (ADO's) and, as voted by the JN Team, we work in the office Monday, Thursday, and Friday with flexibility to work from home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
