ABOUT THIS ROLE We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Operations Coordinator based at our Launceston Depot - support our team of waste collection professionals to effectively manage daily operational goals. You will be working with a safe, modern and reliable fleet, serviced and maintained in our on-site workshops. We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers. This position is a permanent, full-time role (Monday to Friday), 7.30am to 4.30pm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure the highest standards of customer service are met in managing customer requests. Respond to telephone and email enquiries in a timely manner. Establish and manage relationships with drivers, team members, customers, and local authorities. Check driver records (run sheets / fatigue). Report & Investigate queries. Work to timelines to ensure work is completed. Provide daily payroll support (timesheets) & other tasks as required. Establish and manage relationships with customers and the public. Strive for improvement in operations whilst upholding a high level of safety at all times. ABOUT YOU Experience in a similar role. Transport & Logistics industry experience - preferred. HR licence (or willingness to obtain). Excellent problem-solving skills. A commitment to achieving customer service of the highest standard. Excellent time management and organisation skills with the ability to meet set deadlines. Good knowledge of the Windows Office Suite, particularly Excel. Maintain professional etiquette with effective written and verbal communication skills. Data entry skills and an eye for detail. Self-motivated with the ability to work well within a team and autonomously. Excellent time management skills.
