Target Business Services Location: 59A Marion Street Harris Park NSW 2150 Salary: $97,000 plus 11.5% superannuation Our client, Akshara Jewellers Pty Ltd, a reputed jeweller offering a wide array of bespoke and finely crafted jewellery, is seeking to fill a full-time position for a skilled and experienced Jeweller.
This role is critical to support the company's vision of providing high-quality craftsmanship and expanding its luxury jewellery offerings.
The primary purpose of the position is to drive the creation and production of exclusive jewellery pieces, manage the day-to-day operations of the jewellery workshop, and ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship are maintained.
The Jeweller will also play a crucial role in enhancing productivity and elevating customer satisfaction through expert skills in designing, crafting, and repairing jewellery.
Qualifications: · You must hold Certificate III or IV in Jewellery Manufacture or an equivalent qualification in a related field or higher.
· At least two years of full-time relevant work experience in a jewellery manufacturing or design environment is required.
· The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in creating, repairing, and modifying high-end jewellery using a variety of materials, such as gold, silver, and precious gemstones.
Your main responsibilities will be: · Designing, crafting, and repairing jewellery pieces according to customer specifications and market trends.
· Managing the entire jewellery manufacturing process, from selecting materials to final quality control checks.
· Communicating with clients to understand their requirements and providing expert advice on custom jewellery.
· Perform stone setting, polishing, engraving, and resizing.
· Collaborate with customers and sales staff to ensure client satisfaction.
· Inspect and assess jewellery for quality control and repairs.
· Ensuring all jewellery is produced to the highest quality standards in terms of craftsmanship and safety.
· Assisting in the development of new product lines and design innovations.
· Monitoring inventory levels and procuring raw materials as needed.
· Melting and casting metal into moulds for creating jewellery.
· Shaping and forming jewellery pieces through cutting, filing, and soldering metal.
· Repairing and modifying existing jewellery, including resizing rings and resetting stones.
· Collaborating with sales and design teams to produce custom orders.
· Inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy To be considered for this role, you must have: · Expertise in handcrafting, designing, and repairing jewellery.
· Proficiency in working with gold, silver, gemstones, and other materials.
· Knowledge of gem grading, setting techniques, and jewellery trends.
· Strong attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
· Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and understand their custom requirements.
