Logistic Officer-Rare opportunity to get into resource industry Sydney CBD area Full time Entry position for resource industry Hybrid working environment This company negotiates and procures coal to supply overseas clients.
In this role, you will support all phases of procurement, blending, and reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with native-level English skills and some Japanese language ability or experience working in Japan.
Prior knowledge of coal or logistic is NOT required, as training will be provided.
This company does the following: Manages Australian coal procurement through contract negotiation, logistics resolution, and daily performance checksOversees blending by negotiating with suppliers and combining low and high CV coal at loading terminalsGathers and shares insights on coal, energy, politics, and economics with headquarters Responsibilities: Coordinating logistics for blending vessels Communicating with sellers regarding performing contracts and shipping schedule Assisting Representative in negotiating coal contracts Understanding Australian government's energy policy and regulations and making required materials Business trips to Newcastle and QLD Gathering information in relation to coal market, coal availability, coal price, actual trade record etc from coal suppliers and coal traders and making required materials Making weekly reports about not only the topic of Australian energy but also Australian politics and economics Making other materials which staff members of HQ require Required Skill and Experience High communication skills in English Some work experience in Japan or some Japanese language skill Making documents by using M365 application Preferred skill but not essential Understanding Australian regulations and information in relation to coal industry is not essential but preferred Experience in dealing with legal matters, not essential Experience in export business and/or logistic business (preferred) At HOBAN we encourage applications from people with disability, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, people of all genders, LGBTI people, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
