The People & Culture Business Partner (P&CBP) will provide advice and support to leaders on employee relations issues; recruitment and selection; WHS; remuneration and benefits; employment law queries (interpreting Awards and legislation); and providing recommendations to resolve/progress/improve policies and processes.
There will be a strong focus on driving and facilitating effective, innovative, and efficient P&C activities and services (including transferring best P&C practice) to various stakeholders in line with policies, procedures, budgets, and company Values.
Key Responsibilities Provide advice, guidance and support on Employee Relations matters, disciplinary and performance management issues. A strong focus on end-to-end recruitment processes and strategies. Business partner and mentor leaders in all aspects of people management. Be first point of P&C contact for employees. Support the P&C colleagues in recruitment and selection overflow including creating talent pools. Support the implementation of training and development programs, retention/talent management, and succession planning. Provide regular updates/reporting of P&C activities and services to the P&C Manager. Keep up-to-date on new/changing WHS & employment legislation. Action employee relations matters, disciplinary and performance management issues in line with processes. Roll-out development, retention, talent management, critical roles and succession planning programs, in-line with the timeline. Skills/Background Experience in Advisory/Business Partner role, providing support to managers across the whole employee lifecycle. Sound knowledge of relevant state and federal industrial relations, and other employment-related legislation. Experience in providing a high-level consultancy service to leaders with regards to interpretation and providing specialist advice on employee relations, employment legislation and Awards. Experience across a broad range of HR activities such as recruitment and selection, WHS, remuneration and benefits, delivering training programs. Strategic advice on local and global initiatives, to enhance performance, engagement, and talent management initiatives using HR metrics, data, and best practice to guide decision making. Skills to review, and communicate HR policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives. Excellent written and verbal communication, consulting, and interpersonal skills, including ability to deliver presentations, coach and effectively engage stakeholders. Well-developed organisational skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work and follow through on set tasks. Proven ability in developing trusted relationships at all levels to gain support and achieve outcomes.
