About the OPPORTUNITY We are excited to offer multiple opportunities for IT Systems Analysts to join our BAE Systems Maritime Digital-Data-Cyber team, based at Osborne Naval Shipyard in South Australia.
As a Systems Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in enabling, managing, and operating a range of applications that support critical activities within the shipyard.
By developing a deep understanding of the shipyard's operations, you will manage a subset of customer-facing technology services that are essential to the shipyard's efficiency and success.
Key responsibilities include: Provide on-site support at the Osborne shipyard, assisting project customers in efficiently utilising applications by responding to and processing service requests and enhancement requests.
Manage a designated group of shipyard-facing applications as part of a team primarily responsible for toolsets supporting safety, manufacturing, warehousing and logistics, security access systems, and tool management.
Serve as an application administrator, managing access provisions, optimising performance, and providing end-user support, including escalation to the vendor when required.
Collaborate closely with the onsite workforce to understand system capabilities, team operations, and how the systems are utilised in their daily work.
Create, maintain, and manage all supporting documentation, collaborating with peers to share knowledge effectively.
Develop and contribute to the definition of general specifications and support documentation.
Contribute to the development of general specifications, ensuring alignment with operational needs, while supporting documentation creation for technical and end-user reference.
Respond to incidents, service requests, access requests, and problems within agreed KPIs, adhering to ITIL principles.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as they arise, isolating the root cause and triaging appropriately in accordance with internal processes.
Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, investigate solution options, analyse impacts, seek relevant approvals, and drive the process end-to-end.
About YOU Demonstrated experience in responding to hardware and software faults within agreed SLAs.
Onsite troubleshooting experience (e.g., desktop support) in a large organisation is highly desirable.
Proven experience managing and operating applications, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to understand business processes and their application to IM&T-provided solutions, working collaboratively with business stakeholders to ensure effective operations.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interpret customer needs and deliver outcomes that empower shipyard teams.
Experience in coordinating teams to plan and execute both minor and major system upgrades.
Existing Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
Eligibility to be cleared under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
