Smit Lamnalco Towage (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time IT Systems Administrator to join our team.
Option to be based in either Brisbane or Cairns; however, travel to our other ports within Australia and PNG is an essential part of this role.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the company's IT infrastructure and systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability for our operations.
Job DescriptionWhat you'll be doing Manage and maintain the company's IT systems, including servers, networks, and software applicationsImplement, maintain & optimise IT hardware environment standards, Internet connectivity and communications for offices and vesselsSupport on installing and maintaining applications on the IT systems on board vessels & office.Provide technical support and troubleshooting to end-users, ensuring prompt resolution of IT-related issuesProactively identify and address potential IT problems, implementing preventative measures to minimise downtimeCollaborate with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate IT projects and initiativesContinuously research and recommend new technologies, tools, and best practices to improve the company's IT capabilitiesMaintain accurate documentation and provide detailed reports on IT systems and activitiesManage the Active Directory & Exchange server environment.QualificationsWhat we're looking for Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an IT Systems Administrator or in a similar roleStrong knowledge of Windows Server administration, network management, and active directoryProficient in the use of monitoring and automation tools, as well as scripting languagesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve IT issuesStrong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with end-users and stakeholdersA relevant bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferredAdditional InformationSmit Lamnalco Towage (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading provider of marine services and logistics solutions.
