Networks & Systems Administration (Information & Communication Technology)Full timeAn opportunity exists for an enthusiastic IT System Administrator to join our team for an exciting opportunity based in the South West, working primarily in Brunswick, and from time to time required to work in other project-based sites as required.This is a fast-paced, challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain essential IT operations, including servers, desktops, laptops, phones, network infrastructure, and business-critical systems.Supporting end users with IT hardware & software issues (helpdesk)Take ownership of high-level support requests and see them through to completion.Actively participate in IT projects and implementations.Enable smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights.Ensure the security and integrity of the company's network, data, and assets.Mobilise/demobilise and support the IT systems and infrastructure requirements of remote civil and mining projects.Contribute to the IT Department's daily administrative tasks.To be successful in this role you will need the followingTertiary qualification or certifications in IT.Recent experience in a System Administrator role, preferably in a Microsoft environment.Experience with a broad range of technologies, including, but not limited to, virtualisation, backup, security, and software deployment.Familiar with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows OS, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange and Active Directory technologiesGreat understanding of networking and be comfortable with administering networks, switches, firewalls and associated technologiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to demonstrate and enforce safe work practices.Sound organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.The candidate will reside in the South West of WA or be prepared to relocate at their own expense.Desirable Skills and ExperienceStrong expertise in network security solutions, preferably Fortinet, including Forti SD-WAN, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.Experience in performing backup, recovery, troubleshooting, proactive maintenance, and optimising performance of Veeam.Expertise in managing Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Azure AD, Defender and Intune.Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management tasks.Ready to Join Us?If this sounds like the role for you, we'd love to hear from you!
