Our biosensor technology has been used in more than 10 billion measurements for blood glucose monitoring and blood coagulation (Xprecia Prime) patients worldwide.
Our technology is also providing solutions in the wine industry with SENTIA and the veterinary industry with PETRACKR.
In addition, we continue to develop new applications for our technology within human health, food and agriculture.
What you will do UBI is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team at the Corporate HQ in Rowville (Victoria) as the IT Support Officer, reporting to the Senior Systems Administrator.
As our IT Support Officer, you will provide technical assistance and support to users within the Company.
This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and business applications including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 office suite as well as Business Central (ERP).
Who you are We are looking for a proactive candidate who is qualified with a diploma or higher in an IT (or related) field with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar L1/L2 support role.
This role is the primary liaison with our outsourced ERP service provider.
The role will perform (but not limited to) the following activities:
Respond to users (onsite/remote) with basic trouble-shooting guidance where possible. Triage and resolve L1/L2 service requests logged via IT helpdesk. Assist in maintaining network infrastructure, e.g.
monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement security measures as instructed. Provide required hardware/software support, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and trouble-shooting for computer equipment, peripheral devices (printers, phones) and software applications (e.g.
Microsoft 365 office suite). Asset management from procurement to decommissioning/disposal, including software license register and required renewals. Maintain all ERP manufacturing specifications, BOMs, routings, inventory items, vendor details to the required levels of accuracy and traceability. Ensure that new and existing processes within ERP adhere to UBS quality manual and FDA, ISO13485 and ISO9001 requirements, i.e.
execute functional testing and participate in cyclical certification audits. Assist in developing automation (where possible) in ERP, liaising with outsourced developer. Identify, investigate and resolve incidents/problems with ERP system software and interfaces (with other applications) to take remedial action where necessary. Assist in infrastructure and software upgrade projects when required. Look to continuously improve system security and efficiency, utilising guidelines such as GAMP 5 and ITIL. You are a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively – bringing knowledge and skills such as:
Any of Microsoft 365, Defender, InTune, ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ certifications are desirable, but not essential. Demonstrated experience in the use of Windows OS (Windows XP, 7, 8.1, 10, and 11), Microsoft 365 applications and services, and basic networking concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS). Experience supporting and troubleshooting hardware (Workstations and Laptops). Practical knowledge and experience in Local Area Network (LAN), Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra and Microsoft 365 applications and services. Experience in providing L1 assistance in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous: in a manufacturing environment, including all modules such as purchase, warehouse, manufacturing, sales & marketing and financial management. You will possess key qualities such as:
