TerreCom is a Townsville based ICT company providing expert managed services and IT solutions tailored to its clients. TerreCom supports a wide range of clients in many industries including automotive, financial, hospitality and government fields. With over half a century of experience in its ranks, TerreCom offers expertise in all facets of IT, including servers, workstations, WiFi, network hardware, telephony, cyber protection and cloud platforms. TerreCom is expanding and requires an IT Support Officer to join the team.
The successful candidate will be motivated and able to work independently. They will have good communication skills and be able to work within a team. Qualifications and experience in server and workstation hardware, network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and relevant systems would be advantageous, with role-specific on-the-job training provided.
Role Responsibilities:
First point of contact for TerreCom clients; understanding of ticketing systems and customer service principles. Provide proactive maintenance and triage IT support. Undertake activities as directed, which includes configuration, deployment and installation of devices. Provide essential ad-hoc support (on-site and remote) to customers as directed. Assist with maintaining asset management activities. Travel where required to provide IT support across all sections of the business. Ability to self-research, upskill and undertake training to increase knowledge. Create, maintain and update technical information for auditing purposes. Key Capabilities, Knowledge and Experience:
Ability to expand and gain competence in the configuration, monitoring and implementation of ICT assets. Ability to deliver quality ICT support to clients with an emphasis on prioritising tasks. Interpersonal skills and personal qualities that facilitate the development of a good working relationship to enhance quality customer service in a team environment. Sound oral and written communication skills to follow system documentation and work instructions. Specific Working Conditions:
Reasonable travel (day and overnight), as negotiated, will be a requirement of this position. Must hold an open or provisional 'C' class driver's licence. The successful applicant will undergo a Federal Police Check. On-call rostering for after-hours customer support. Benefits of Working with TerreCom:
