Due to growth, we are looking for an IT Project Consultant / Engineer to be based in Townsville, QLD. The Role The IT Project Consultant / Engineer will report to the Project Service Coordinator & Lead Project Engineer. As a client-centered delivery role, you will work closely with the projects team, technical team, and service desk to deliver quality, timely and sophisticated project outcomes.
Key responsibilities include: Responsible for delivering projects and executing approved statements of workSkillfully manage projects from start to finish, both independently and as part of a teamOversee project budget, timeline, risk management, and scope analysis, and ensure successful outcomesCreate and maintain documentation for both clients and internal teamsProvide advanced technical assistance and troubleshooting for technical support escalationsOffer expert insights on current and emerging technologies to inform client technology strategiesShare specialised product knowledge with the wider teamThe successful candidate Education in relevant IT course(s) / certificationsMSP experience is a definite advantageStrong understanding of core networking principles, including routing, subnetting, L2/L3 switching, VLANs, Trunking, SDWAN, and IPsecConfident and experienced working with Azure, O365, Azure AD and private cloud solutionsProven track record/experience in leading or supporting cloud-based solutions including new, transitional and hybrid integrationsProven knowledge and experience in Windows and Microsoft-based solutionsCan demonstrate full understanding about the role and the accountability that goes with the positionMotivated with the desire to do the job well; proactive and can take full accountabilityDeliver the highest standard of customer service, so that each client feels that they are a high priorityCore technical expertise required Windows Server Solution Design, Admin & SupportUnderstanding of ITIL & SLA'sVirtualisation technologies (VMWare)Networking Technologies (Cisco/Aruba/Dell)Firewall/Security Technologies (Sophos)Scripting (PowerShell and the like)Strong AD, GPO including Azure AD and other Windows ServicesOffice 365 supportConnectWise Manage or other ticketing system knowledgeIn return you will work within an established organisation, who continue to build upon their operational maturity and market position.
