West Technology is currently partnering with a circa $40m t/o, Australian company that provides services and technology driven solutions to the engineering and construction industry. This business has grown to become a market leader in its space and has growth plans that will see this business scale in size significantly in the coming years.
About Your New Role
To facilitate these growth plans, an IT transformation is required to transform the existing tech stack into a 'fit for purpose' and scalable solution. This newly created role will be critical to this transformation and will play an integral part in this tech stack uplift.
The key tasks aligned to this position include:
Consult with business stakeholders to understand how existing systems operate, including strengths & weaknesses.Map existing workflows against the desired / best practice workflows.Identify solutions that are best suited to business requirements and prepare a business case supporting your findings to present to management.Ensure that the proposed tech stack is fully integrated and has automation potential realised.Partner with external suppliers and internal stakeholders for implementation, upgrade and support system changes.About You!
You are an IT professional who has performed a tech stack upgrade or transformation project for a sub $100m business. You could have a background in IT Management, a Business Analyst or IT Project Manager – or similar. You bring a technical understanding of software capabilities, including integrations and have an interest in current technologies. You are practical in your approach to IT and see Technology as a business enabler. Combined with your technical nous, you operate in a 'hands-on' working style. You have financial acumen and understand how to build a tech stack that is both fit for purpose and commercially astute. Finally, your ability to build strong working relationships combined with your open and assertive communication style will ensure your success in this position.
