Digital and Campus Services provides a responsive, integrated and customer-oriented service that brings together the digital and physical environments for students and staff, supporting their teaching, learning, research and administrative needs.
Our purpose is to provide fit-for-purpose and innovative planning and delivery services that contribute to the success of ECU as a vibrant and progressive University.
The IT Business Engagement team is responsible for engaging with the University to understand present and future demands for IT that support the University's teaching, learning, research and professional outcomes.
As an advocate, advisor and single point of focus, the IT Business Engagement team cultivates relationships across the University to identify common needs, opportunities and strategic direction.
These are directed into operational or project pipelines considering people, process and technology aspects to ensure that potential business value is captured and optimised.
The team works closely across the Digital and Campus Services (DCS) directorate and connects with other specialist areas such as Finance and Strategic Procurement to complete pre-project analysis for business initiatives.
The Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with a proven track record in business analysis and a passion for driving positive change to join our team.
You will identify and refine business requirements in relation to a business problem or opportunity and identify ways in which business objectives can be advanced.
You will collaborate with Enterprise Architects and technical peers to develop a high-level understanding of the scope and feasibility of solutions.
Required Skills and Experience A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the Information Technology sector.Demonstrated ability to effectively engage stakeholders and build positive relationships with diverse teams.Experience in working closely with stakeholders to extract, document, and prioritise business requirements across diverse projects, ensuring seamless alignment with organizational goals and objectives.Proven experience in analysing business processes to identify areas for improvement.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, conveying complex information in a clear and concise manner.Proficiency in utilising various business analysis tools and techniques to drive effective decision-making.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.The successful applicant will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Courage and Personal Excellence.The successful applicant will be required to provide a national police clearance.
